Celebrate the Victory with a Piece of Penguins History Our Limited-Edition Civic Arena Penguins License Plate is the perfect gift for any Penguins fan. This exclusive, license plate is made from the historic Civic Arena roof, a mainstay of the Pittsburgh skyline for decades. Nicknamed "The Igloo,,"which appropriately inspired the team's name, the Civic Arena hosted the Pittsburgh Penguins from 1967 to 2010 and was the home to three Stanley Cup winning teams (1991, 1992, and 2009). Handcrafted right outside of Pittsburgh by Wendell August, this artisan-created license plate is the perfect way to show your Penguins pride. Each of these license plates is created using the Civic Arena roof. Natural patina will appear from three decades Pittsburgh weather wear and tear on the steel. The weathered look is part of the charm of this historic roof. This product is not available for promotions or shipping discounts.
