Opened in 1895, Euclid Beach park was a beloved amusement park on the shores of Lake Erie. While it closed in 1969, the entrance still stands today as a reminder of the past. The artisans of Wendell August, America's premier metal artisans, have partnered with renowned Cleveland photographer Jim Ptacek to create a limited edition ornament collection highlighting Cleveland and Ohio. Today, Ptacek's photography is represented in numerous galleries throughout the country. His photographs are cityscapes of the mind - without the noise of traffic and crowds. What remains are the textured images, the beauty and grace of the city and its structures. This ornament is dated on the back with its introduction date of 2013.
